EskayProductions is the production arm of the Foundation Degree in Television Production at Stockport College. It undertakes not-for-profit student production work – both small and large-scale.
We specialise in programme-making: multi camera and single camera – live and pre-recorded. No event is too small or too large, working in our studio and on location, we tackle projects ranging from small-scale 1+1 interviews to full multi-camera live mix with a full symphony orchestra and audience of 2500! The FdA in TV Production course at Stockport College provides two years of dynamic ‘hands-on’ practice in the techniques that underlie modern broadcasting. Our aim is simple: to make our graduates employable within the broadcast media industries.
Huge emphasis is placed on building both technical and teamwork skills during the first year of the course across an extremely wide range of ongoing ‘live’ broadcast opportunities which gradually build in both scale and complexity (it’s a VERY practical course!). Students are encouraged to engage with both traditional and emerging digital technologies. The second year of the course is much more self-directed, developing opportunities to create professional-standard material for showreel which aims to demonstrate a genuine ‘engagement’ with the real-world of professional broadcasting. There’s an annual foreign residential too – recently, we’ve filmed in Krakow, Paris and Prague – but in November 2015 we’re heading over to New York….
Much of the course takes place in and around the College’s fully-equipped Television studios and post-production complex using a wide variety of industry-standard equipment. Give us a call….01612966095
